A Report recently appeared that shows the trends in professional photography in 2024. This is a survey created by Zenfolio in collaboration with six other organizations where 7,600 photographers from 102 countries participated.

This survey provides important information for professional photography studios. But an interesting fact is the growth of the photography industry at the entrepreneurial level.

There are more and more photographers who live exclusively from their work as well as photography studios offering creative services.

The photographic genre in trend

According to the survey, the most popular photographic genre is the portrait, which since it promoted the photography industry in 1839 continues to be the favorite genre in the trends of 2024. Even in the era of selfies, people continue to entrust their image to a professional.

Next we have family photography and of course, weddings, which continue to be the most important photographic event in the sector.
